2019–20EFL Championship
The 2019–20 EFL Championship is in it’s 28th season of the English Championship. The 2019–20 EFL Championship has 24 teams and Norwich City are the current champions.
The EFL Championship operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the EFL League One.
The top two teams qualify automatically for the Premier League. Teams finishing third to sixth place play off to qualify for the Premier League via the Championship play-offs, the Football League Championship play-offs are a knock-out competition with the final played at Wembley stadium. There is no single sporting event in the world more valuable to the winners, who end up approximately £60m better off than the losers. In fact it is tradition for the winners to give their Wembley gate purse to the losers as they have won such a huge prize being promoted to the Premier league.
The 2019–20 EFL Championship is due to take place from 2 August, 2019 to 3 May, 2020.
