Most major eSports betting sites offer over many betting markets on a single game.

But what do all these betting markets mean? Here’s a simple explanation of the most popular eSports betting markets:

Winner – Often called Match Odds, Match Lines (To Win), Outright or Match Betting is the winner of the tournament. This can be a single player or an entire team, it depends on the nature of the tournament.

Handicap Betting – Over/Under markets. Odds are offered on the result at the end of the tournament with the Home side and/or Away side being handicapped by a number of points. For example Favorite -1.5 Underdog +1.5.

Over/Under – Over and Under on the number of points won, kills made, maps played, and more. Handicap betting also makes an appearance, letting you back a team with a one-map deficit in the series.

Group winner – Winner of a group match in a tournament.

First Blood – Betting on which player gets the first kill of the game.

Map Winner – With each round of games being played on different maps you can bet on a winner in a particular arena.

First Baron or Dragon – Unique to League of Legends. Barons and Dragons are computer-controlled characters in the game, which player will be the first to kill it.

Objective betting – Bet on teams to capture, capture points, all of them at once or none at all.
