The Everest is an Australian Turf Club (ATC) Thoroughbred horse race run over 1,200 metres on turf at Randwick Racecourse, Sydney, Australia. The Everest is the worlds richest turf horse race with a purse of $14 million.
The Everest was established in 2017 and it is a Weight for Age (WFA) handicap race. WFA is a handicapping system whereby a horse will carry a set weight in accordance with the Weight for Age Scale.
Entry to The Everest is done via The Everest Slots with each slot costing $600,000 and there are 12 slots.
