Anthony Joshua takes on Alexander Povetkin at Wembley Stadium on September 22nd for the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles.

Joshua is a unified heavyweight world champion, holding three of four major world championships in the sport: the IBF title, the WBA (Super) title and the WBO title, along with the IBO title; incredible. He’s won all 21 of his heavyweight bouts, recording 20 KOs.

Povetkin, whom is 10 years older than Joshua, has recorded 34 wins from 35 bouts with an impressive 24 KOs. The Russian defeated a Brit in his last bout on British soil, knocking David Price out in the 5th round to claim victory and retain his WBA Inter-Continental and WBO International heavyweight titles.

It’s all on the line between the two heavyweights!

Anthony Joshua is the heavy favourite going into the fight, but the more experienced Russian fighter could be good value.

It must be remembered that Alexander Povetkin is an ex WBA heavyweight champion, loosing his title to Wladimir Klitschko by Unanimous Decision back in 2013. This is his only loss in 35 fights.
